White House Petition

We’re lucky, here in Maryland – one of only 15 states that requires insurance companies to provide fertility/IVF coverage for qualified residents.

Even with the fertility mandate, it’s not cheap. It’s only the procedure itself that’s covered, and those meds are expensive.

But we realize how lucky we are to have the coverage we do, and will someday use for baby #2 – while some people save for years for just one shot.

If you, or someone you know, has had to pay for fertility treatments please sign (and share!) The Barren Librarian’s petition!

The Barren Librarian

So, I know it’s a major longshot, but I did a thing.

I’m tired of being ignored. I created a white house petition to make infertility treatment and testing coverage be mandated under health care law. Please sign it. Please share it on your blogs, with your family and friends who know about your IF, on your twitters-basically anywhere you feel comfortable.

Also, we have to get 150 signatures before it’s publicly searchable, so it’s up to us to get it to that point. Sign my friends, sign!
