Lately we’ve had our fair share of unexpected (and unwanted) surprises.
The sort of things that happen once you buy a house, and your wife is unemployed, and you just paid for a vacation, and you’ve spent thousands of dollars trying to get pregnant.
We can now add unexpected car repairs to the list. Mike’s car (which is thiiiiiiiisss close to being paid off) broke down an hour away from home over the weekend, and then again yesterday while we were driving home from picking it up from the service center. So it was towed twice, in three days.
But, at least his car broke down Saturday, and not in the middle of the week, or on our way to my egg retrieval surgery, which is right around the corner.
And sure, the basement flooded the day before vacation. But at least it happened then, and not while we were gone — which would have been significantly worse.
As for the hornets…well, there’s never really a good time for a hornet attack. Unless you’re into that sort of thing.
